Studies have shown that good communication between caregivers and residents has many benefits and contributes to individualized care. While facilities have traditionally concentrated on improving documentation, most do not have any formalized training on how to deliver empathetic, person-centric care. Direct communication between all elements of nursing, medical, administration, dietary and other staff increases confidence of family members in the facility and assigned caregivers. It also has a therapeutic benefit on families as they feel that their needs are being addressed. As Long-term Care facilities are frequently targeted in litigation, this webinar will provide insights on how to set the stage for reasonable expectations at the start of the residency and minimize your risk potential.
