Applying advanced data and scenario modelling to renewable energy
Article information and share options
In 2024 we partnered with leading renewable energy fund manager Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to provide innovative data and scenario modelling for renewable energy projects. The initiative allows CIP to better manage the risks associated with major renewable energy investments, such as offshore wind installations.
Leveraging our expertise in natural catastrophe and climate risk, we integrated Risk Data & Services (RDS) – a platform that helps companies build a digital twin of their assets and exposures – into CIP's sustainability, insurance, and risk engineering processes. The initiative facilitates a comprehensive assessment of existing and future vulnerabilities, drawing on physical risk insights to support the financial planning and reporting for CIP's renewable energy investments.
Supporting a leading renewable energy fund manager like CIP with our innovative risk management solutions aligns with our commitment to do our part in advancing the net-zero transition.
With the RDS platform designed to offer detailed insights into various risk factors, all stakeholders obtain insights for a clearer understanding of the potential physical risks and rewards associated with renewable energy projects. Thanks to this integration, CIP is developing stronger risk management strategies, ultimately leading to more risk-informed decision-making and better project outcomes.
The services provided with RDS set a new standard for risk management in the renewable energy sector, helping to pave the way for a low-carbon and more resilient future.
