Bond & Guarantee Specialist (Hybrid)

About the Role
You will be responsible for servicing International Surety clients with timely and accurate handling of requests and inquiries. Your key responsibilities include:
Wording review of cross-border surety bonds and guarantees, ensuring accuracy and coordinating issuance in line with regional jurisdictional and regulatory requirements.
Leveraging existing network partners, clients and broker relationships to actively contribute to business growth. This includes ensuring an end-to-end process with timely and accurate handling of requests and inquiries to deliver exceptional client satisfaction.
Structuring complex international surety transactions, providing advisory related to regional and regulatory requirements, while ensuring compliance and minimizing operational risk.
Providing advisory to clients, brokers, and network partners regarding international bonds and guarantees, followed by obtaining quotes and coordinating with all parties, including guidance on guarantee wordings.

International Surety Desk is an emerging team, closely collaborating with the global Surety business teams. With passion, as well as our service and customer orientation, we strive for high customer satisfaction and help the business to achieve its profitable growth aspiration. Our team is spread across many locations in Europe, Asia Pacific, as well as North and Latin America.
As part of the International Surety transformation project, we are implementing a new International Surety Model with new roles and responsibilities, standardizing and improving processes. We are also extending our international surety partner network.

Essential Skills
Education: Completed commercial education preferably banking specialist or bachelor studies in economics or law. Associates Degree or job experience equivalent.
Relevant Professional Experience: Experience with cross-border guarantees issuance. Good knowledge and understanding of guaranteed business as well as direct and cross-border issuance, counter guarantees.
Previous experience in a client-facing role, preferably in a finance environment.
Certified for Demand Guarantees (CSDG) or similar certification.
Linguistics: Proficiency in the English language is a must, and knowledge of the German language (reading, written, and verbal) is a key differenciator. Additional languages of relevant markets (especially Spanish, French) are a plus.
Nice to Have
Minimum of 5-7 year experience in banking or insurance area
Experience in dealing with network partners (Banks or Insurance Companies)
Knowledge of sanctions and AML procedures, commercial and company law, URDG758, ICISA forms, and other international rules.
Experience with SWIFT messages for documentary business
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 38,000 and EUR 64,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In situations where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
