Business Operations Associate
Location: Bratislava, SK
Legal & Compliance Business Management (L&C BM) serves as the central operations team within the Group Function Legal & Compliance (L&C). We support the Chief Legal Officer in shaping and executing strategic initiatives while also enabling L&C departments to deliver services effectively and efficiently.
About the Role
As a Business Operations Associate you play a pivotal role in bridging cross-functional teams and enabling operational excellence within Swiss Re Group’s Legal & Compliance (L&C) function, while reporting to the Operations manager based in Bratislava. Your responsibilities include:
- Act as a key facilitator between IT and Legal/Finance/Tax stakeholders, ensuring seamless management and support of Swiss Re’s global Legal Entity Information platform.
- Support L&C initiatives across process optimization, technology implementation and people engagement - from concept to execution.
- Conduct business analyses on L&C services when required.
- Drive innovation by supporting the digital evolution of L&C operations and tools.
- Support management of L&C BM processes end to end.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests with precision and speed, contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
- Some travel to Swiss Re locations may be required.
About the Team
You will be joining a highly experienced and motivated team of 10 professionals based in Zurich and Bratislava. We value the diverse backgrounds and skillsets each team member brings to Legal & Compliance Business Management (L&C BM) team. Our core responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing key processes and initiatives within Legal & Compliance (L&C), with a particular focus on project management, process optimization, and tool ownership and support. These responsibilities involve regular collaboration with colleagues across EMEA and we maintain strong connections with other L&C teams, working together in a customer-centric and solution-oriented manner.
About You
- Bachelor's degree (e.g., in business administration, computer sciences, law), enrolment in Master program is considered a plus
- Relevant working experience, preferably in Finance or Operations
- Fluency in English, any additional language is considered a plus
- Solid experience in MS Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, SharePoint)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Effective presentation and problem-solving skills to outline and resolve more complex topics in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Service oriented with an ability to communicate with stakeholders.
- Commercial and self-motivated mindset
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,500 and 2,500 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
