About the Role

As a Claims Administrator, you'll be at the forefront of our client service operations, handling the administration of straightforward claims according to our complexity guidelines. You'll manage reinsurance claims for individual or group life, health products, and related retrocession treaties for your assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and evaluate incoming claim documentation to determine appropriate next steps and record financial liabilities in a timely manner
  • Identify and escalate more complex or legally sensitive claims to specialized teams for handling
  • Determine coverage for straightforward claims by analyzing policy terms and conditions
  • Collaborate with financial teams to gather information and resolve coverage questions
  • Verify accuracy of policy and client data in our systems for new claim notifications
  • Prioritize and route incoming communications based on urgency and complexity
  • Research and calculate total financial exposure by running appropriate reports and analyzing results
  • Confirm premium payment to ensure proper liability reporting and claim handling
  • Screen claimant information against regulatory compliance databases
  • Communicate professionally with clients to address questions and provide claim status updates

About the Team

Claims Administration is a vital part of the L&H COO core business operations within our

company. Our team serves as the front line, receiving and triaging client claim submissions. We process incoming claims and manage outgoing claim payments with precision and care. The

quality of our work directly influences our company's reputation and is instrumental to our L&H North America financial results.

About You

You're a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for delivering

excellent customer service. You thrive in structured environments where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. You're comfortable working with data and financial information, and you're eager to develop your career in the insurance industry. You enjoy collaborating with others while also being able to work independently to meet deadlines.

In addition, you bring the following:

  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience working at the large organization in insurance, financial services, accounting, or OPS fields
  • You are comfortable with processes, controls and cross-functional work style with strong foundational technical skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams and AI products
  • You are comfortable navigating structured workflows and KPI's
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • You have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Analytics, or other STEM

Our company operates under a hybrid work model, with the expectation that employees work from the office three days per week. Please note that this role is not eligible for relocation assistance or visa sponsorship/visa transfer.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $49,000 to $81,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At our company, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
