Consultant for P&C Reinsurance (Hybrid; m/f/x/d; 80-100%)

Regular Employment

Location: Zurich, Zurich, CH

Are you passionate about translating business strategy into measurable business impact? Join us at the heart of Swiss Re's transformation journey, where you'll collaborate with senior leaders to reshape the future of P&C Reinsurance.

About the Role

As Consultant in Business Transformation, you will support initiatives that translate strategy into meaningful change across the global P&C Reinsurance business. Working within cross-functional project teams, you will help simplify complex challenges, develop practical solutions, and support delivery across operating models, processes, technology, and culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic translation: Structure complex topics into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and workplans

  • Project management: Drive delivery, own financial stewardship, milestone planning and stakeholder alignment

  • Decision support: Develop robust analyses and decision materials to support leadership discussions

  • Delivery assurance: Support delivery activities across design, implementation, and adoption

  • Process and solution design: Contribute to process improvements, user journey definition, and process-to-system translation

  • Change enablement: Support stakeholder engagement, communication, and change activities to drive practical adoption

  • Global collaboration: Collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are workable and sustainable

The role offers high visibility and broad exposure, with opportunities to build a strong internal network and help shape decisions across the organisation. To strengthen the reinsurance business understanding, opportunities are available to deepen business exposure - for example, supporting Underwriting teams during renewals.

About the Team

Business Transformation is part of P&C Reinsurance and exists to turn strategy into measurable change across the business unit - improving end-to-end ways of working and ensuring initiatives deliver outcomes.

We are a small, experienced and globally distributed team, working across the value chain. We support operating model and process redesign through to implementation, with a strong focus on execution discipline and lasting adoption. Our work spans both strategic transformation and continuous improvement.

About You

You thrive in complex environments and can translate complex business challenges into practical solutions. With strong communication and active listening abilities, you influence and align stakeholders while navigating ambiguity with confidence. Your strong sense of ownership and pragmatic, “can‑do” mindset enable you to build consensus among diverse groups and deliver tangible results that drive business value. Combined with your ability to understand both business needs and technical possibilities, you serve as an effective bridge‑builder in transformation initiatives.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • 3+ years in management consulting or related professional services roles

  • Track record of leading or supporting end-to-end delivery workstreams (scope, plan, stakeholders, risks, budget)

  • Strong problem structuring and analytical skills; comfortable with data and ambiguity

  • Solid grounding in project and change methodologies (e.g. Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Change Management, Process Engineering)

  • Ability to translate between business and tech/data teams (requirements, user journeys, process-to-system mapping)

  • Analytical and financial acumen: comfortable with business cases, benefits tracking, and translating recommendations into measurable outcomes

These are additional nice to haves:

  • (Re)insurance exposure (e.g. Underwriting, Claims, Technical accounting)

  • Digital / AI-enabled transformation exposure

  • Operating model design and implementation experience

  • Project portfolio management exposure

  • Relevant project, change or process management certifications: E.g. PMP, PRINCE2, PROSCI, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum/SAFe exposure

Do not hesitate to apply - we look forward to meeting you.
