Credit Risk Analyst (Hybrid)

About the role:
As Credit Analyst within the Credit & Surety Team Brazil you will be responsible to assess and evaluate risks as well as support the underwriting process.
Furthermore, you will be a member of the global Credit Analysis Team.
Your Main Tasks Are Defined as Follows:
- Obligor and Transaction Credit Risk Assessment and Rating for Credit & Surety Products
- Preparation of submissions of credit rating rationale
- Determine the maximum risk appetite on an obligor or transaction level
- Represent and justify rating rationale and risk appetite with stakeholders
- Approval/ recommendation of credit limits in line with the policies and standards
- Participate in projects to enhance Credit Analysis team efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
- Evaluation of financial structures, delivery of objective risk related inputs on transactions and counterparties as well as recommendation on risk mitigation and loss prevention.
- Responsibilities locally in Brazil and regionally in Latin America and supporting global initiatives as necessary.
About the Team:
Credit & Surety Corporate Solutions provides credit risk covers to banking clients and large, global corporates mainly in the areas of Trade, Commodity and Project Finance, Surety, Political Risk Insurance and Trade Credit Insurance and has full profit centre responsibilities. It comprises specialized credit origination and underwriting professionals located in 14 offices around the 4 global Corporate Solutions regions.
The role of the Global Credit Analysis team is to protect Corporate Solutions from credit losses arising from its Credit & Surety (C&S) underwriting activities. The team ensures that credit obligors are assessed, rated and appropriate credit risk tolerance levels are determined and respected. It also provides analytical services on credit-risk-related topics and serves as main point of contact for certain Swiss Re Group Risk Management related topics.
The Credit Analysis team in Brazil supports the Global Credit Analysis team, focused on fulfilling team responsibilities locally in Brazil and regionally in Latin America and supporting global initiatives as necessary.
About You:
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 3 – 4 years of experience in financial / credit analysis
- Working experience in multinational teams
- Representing cases and decisions with stakeholders
- Business relevant qualifications expected.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively on all levels internally and externally
- High degree of self-motivation
- Ability to interact within an international team
- Good understanding of data analytics
- Ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines
Languages:
- Fluency in Portuguese and strong command in English.
