About the Role

As our Customer/Distribution Manager, you'll be the strategic bridge between Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and our valued customers and broker partners throughout Switzerland. Reporting directly to the Country Head, you'll develop and execute relationship strategies that drive mutual growth and create lasting partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Align with customers and/or distribution partners on mutual local strategic priorities and execute go-to-market plans with emphasis on managed relationships

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders, understanding their needs and communicating Swiss Re's value proposition

  • Business Development: Build and manage deal pipelines with customers and/or distribution partners, ensuring alignment with underwriting teams

  • Data Analysis: Interpret performance metrics and extract actionable insights to optimize business strategies and portfolio management

  • Market Intelligence: Collect and share valuable market insights from customers and distribution partners to inform business decisions

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Risk Engineering Services, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver maximum results

  • Innovation: Leverage Swiss Re's thought leadership and innovative solutions to deliver on agreed strategic priorities

Our Customer and Distribution team plays a pivotal role in our success by building and nurturing strategic relationships with our clients and broker partners. We work collaboratively across the organization to deliver tailored solutions that address our clients' complex risk management needs while driving sustainable business growth.

About You

You're a strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering results. Your ability to understand client needs, communicate effectively across all levels, and drive business growth sets you apart. You thrive in collaborative environments and are excited about contributing to innovative insurance solutions.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Significant experience in the insurance market (customer/distribution management, underwriting, risk management)

  • Established network with key stakeholders in the Swiss market (corporate risk managers, brokers, insurance professionals)

  • Proven track record in sales, relationship management, and new business origination

  • Experience in project management with the ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional deal teams from initiation to completion

  • University degree or equivalent education/experience

  • Fluency in German and English (additional languages such as French or Italian are advantageous)

  • Experience in executing non-standard risk transfer solutions

  • Track record in dealing with complex transactions

  • Experience working with CRM systems

  • Strategic vision, strong business acumen, and results orientation

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Adaptability to thrive in complex, changing international environments

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 136,000 and 204,000 CHF (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role

• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
