About the role:

As our Digital Workplace Solutions Engineer specializing in Managed Print Solutions, you'll be the driving force behind our secure, efficient, and sustainable print infrastructure. You'll transform complex technical challenges into intuitive solutions that enhance productivity while supporting our environmental commitments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate HP Enterprise Managed Print and Document Solutions globally, ensuring alignment with Swiss Re's technology and security standards
  • Manage and optimize critical infrastructure components including HP Web Jetadmin, Security Manager, SafeCom PullPrint, and SecurePrint
  • Oversee firmware patching, configuration baselines, device compliance, and print driver management across our global network
  • Evaluate and document printer hardware and software configurations, ensuring standardization and lifecycle compliance
  • Provide expert support at L3/L4 technical levels and coordinate with partners to resolve complex issues
  • Develop innovative solutions through automation, monitoring, and reporting to enhance reliability and operational efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and documentation to ensure a consistent global print experience

About the Team:

The Workplace Engineering team sits within the Field Services Management Department under Group Technology Services (GTS). Our mission is to design, implement, and maintain workplace technologies that empower Swiss Re employees to work efficiently and securely, wherever they are.

We deliver innovative, user-focused solutions that support the Digital Workplace strategy, combining reliability with security and sustainability. Collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do, ensuring that every service we manage contributes to an exceptional employee experience across all Swiss Re locations.


About you:

We seek a technically proficient professional with a strong service orientation and commitment to operational excellence. You recognize that effective print infrastructure directly impacts employee productivity and organizational efficiency. Your approach combines technical precision with a user-centric mindset, ensuring that complex systems function seamlessly for end-users. You excel in collaborative, cross-functional environments where your specialized expertise contributes to enterprise-wide solutions while continuously expanding your professional capabilities.

 


We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise print infrastructure management and document solution environments
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, Active Directory integration and print queue management
  • Experience with IoT device compliance, patching and security frameworks
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills at L3/L4 support level

 


These are additional nice to haves:

  • HP Enterprise certification (e.g. HP Accredited Technical Professional – MPS)
  • Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python) for system management and reporting
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Experience working in global, multicultural environments
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, Jira, and service management best practices

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,800 and EUR 4,600 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.​
