About the Role
As an Employment Legal Advisor, you will operate at the intersection of law and human resources, providing essential guidance on Slovak employment law matters while also supporting our global workforce of over 15,000 employees. You'll analyse legal scenarios, develop practical solutions, and help navigate the diverse employment landscapes across our international operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver presentations and legal analysis on global employment law topics
- Provide timely, high-quality legal advice on Slovak employee matters while clearly articulating legal risks and opportunities
- Support HR partners on various global and local employment law matters, establishing efficient legal processes that comply with local laws, regulations, and internal requirements
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of HR-related agreements and legal documents
- Collaborate across borders with legal, HR and other teams to ensure consistent application of employment practices
- Support the wider multi-jurisdictional team of legal counsels
About the Team
This role reports to the Head of Employment Advisory based in Zurich, Switzerland. You will join a global team of passionate and solution-oriented employment legal counsels operating in a culturally diverse environment. The team is committed to providing exceptional legal guidance on a wide range of employment law issues across all Swiss Re's businesses and jurisdictions.
About You
You're a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You can translate complex legal concepts into practical business solutions and enjoy working in a dynamic, international setting where no two days are the same.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Law degree in Slovak law with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills in both Slovak and English
- Ability to translate employment law requirements into business solutions
- Analytical, pragmatic, and outcome-focused approach
- Agile, flexible mindset with a can-do attitude even in complex situations with time pressure
These are additional nice to haves:
- Background in advising on employment law matters in an international firm
- Additional language proficiencies beyond Slovak and English
- Project and process management skills with the ability to run multiple projects or cases in parallel
- Experience with different legal systems across multiple jurisdictions
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,900 and EUR 3,200 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
