About the Role
As a Facultative Underwriting Coordinator, you'll serve as the analytical backbone of our underwriting operations, ensuring quality data management while providing critical insights that drive informed decision-making. You'll work at the intersection of client relationships, risk analysis, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze client/broker submissions for data quality and set up in underwriting systems including ITC clearance
Manage rating systems and coordinate costing requests to third-party providers with appropriate instructions
Perform quality checks of costing outputs and ensure data integrity throughout processes
Complete comprehensive analyses including loss history reviews, risk engineering report evaluations, and research of risk characteristics
Develop pricing recommendations for underwriters on debits/credits and risk-specific modifications
Collaborate with Risk Engineering Services on risk reviews and specialized classes
Coordinate with internal teams including Genpact (costing principles) and contracts teams (forms, reviews)
Communicate effectively with clients and brokers regarding data needs and additional information requirements
Provide administrative support for pricing tools, internal systems, and records processes
Process data entry including risk clearance, binding transactions, property certificates, and endorsement issuance
Participate actively in deal triage calls and process submissions according to triage decisions
Manage documentation within WIRE for all Facultative Underwriting processes
Generate and interpret financial reports such as profitability reports (REAP, Power BI)
Maintain guidelines throughout all facultative risks including proper archiving
Resolve accounting discrepancies through cross-departmental collaboration
Ensure compliance with external and internal audit requirements

This Business Services Underwriting Coordinator position covers both direct and broker Property Facultative business. This is an Underwriting Support role for the US North America market.

Your organizational abilities allow you to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
University degree - financial services/risk management preferred
High proficiency in English (written and verbal)
2 to 4 years of work experience in P&C commercial property (re)insurance – U.S. markets/risk experience preferred
These are additional nice to haves:
Basic knowledge of (re)insurance coverage terms and policy forms
Understanding of underwriting standards, risk appetite, and deal preferences
Experience following standard operating procedures with near shore/off shore teams
Demonstrated ability to adhere to compliance and audit requirements
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
