This is a role where precision meets purpose — and where your contributions directly support the financial integrity of international insurance programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Book, reconcile and settle technical accounts — including premium, commissions, fees, and claims payments — to and from the pooling carrier for assumed reinsurance Network Partner policies, skeleton technical bookings, and reinsurance transactions
- Produce monthly co-reinsurance and Network Partner statements of account, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial reporting
- Resolve reconciliation findings with internal and external counterparts, including Co-reinsurance and Network Partner discrepancies, driving issues to swift resolution
- Monitor and report open balances, coordinating with the International Desk, Network Partner Coordinators, regional Technical Accounting teams, and Underwriters to address outstanding items
- Act as the first point of contact within International Business for Local/Producing Office Technical Accounting teams, Finance FP&A, and other functions performing financial reporting on International Business
- Ensure reconciliation of International Business technical accounts in the administration system and support Finance on reconciliations in financial ledgers, including skeleton processes, local and central premium collection, and invoiced versus booked comparisons
- Review and authorize incoming co-reinsurance data in the system against real contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Liaise across functions — including the International Desk, Global Network Management, Regional Technical Accounting teams, Claims Operations, and Underwriting teams — to ensure service standards are consistently met
- Support internal and external audits as required and contribute to ongoing projects that strengthen core IFM processes
- Contribute to team success by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and participating in meetings and training sessions
About the Team

Serving a broad base of stakeholders including Corporate Solutions offices worldwide, external brokers, Finance, and reinsurance partners, the IFM team is a critical enabler of Swiss Re's global insurance operations.
About You
You are a proactive and dependable finance professional who brings both technical rigour and strong interpersonal skills to everything you do. You communicate complex financial topics with clarity and confidence, build trust naturally across teams and functions, and take personal accountability for delivering high-quality results. You are resilient under pressure, comfortable working independently, and energised by the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing global team.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to manage, analyse, and present financial data effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to summarise complex technical issues clearly for both expert and non-expert audiences

These are additional nice to haves:
- Familiarity with international insurance programme structures, including Network Partner arrangements and co-reinsurance mechanisms
- Experience working with financial administration or accounting systems used in insurance or reinsurance environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
