About the Role
In this pivotal position, you'll take ownership of financial reporting and analysis for assigned US legal entities, providing valuable insights that inform key business decisions. You'll collaborate across functions to deliver expert financial information while continuously improving our reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile high-quality financial reporting on a US Statutory basis for quarterly and annual filing requirements
- Produce forward-looking interpretations of actual performance with cross-functional inputs
- Execute legal entity performance analysis, while identifying process enhancements through automation and collaboration with global teams
- Ensure strong execution and adherence to the financial reporting control environment
- Serve as a business partner for transaction onboarding, modeling and reporting
- Actively engage with all relevant partners, internally and externally
About the Team
The US Life and Health Carrier Management Team is constantly developing and strengthening our capabilities to provide insightful and meaningful reporting to our decision makers. You will join a highly motivated and dynamic team within an interesting and complex environment and will get the opportunity to build up and further enhance reporting, consolidation & analytical capabilities.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the life insurance industry or audit experience
- CPA certification or equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of U.S. Statutory accounting and reporting standards for life insurance companies
- Ability to lead effectively across reporting lines to ensure deliverables are successfully executed
- Skill in balancing competing priorities while anticipating and preempting operational challenges
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools
- Project management experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with process automation and improvement initiatives
The position location is flexible to either our Kansas City, MO or Armonk, NY offices. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
For Kansas City, the estimated base salary range for this position is $84,000 to $126,000. For Armonk, the estimated base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $138,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
