About the Role

As a Full Stack Developer in our IT Tax Team, you'll be at the heart of building and maintaining business-critical applications that underpin our global tax reporting infrastructure. Collaborating closely with our Technical Lead, you'll combine architectural thinking with hands-on development and operational expertise to ensure our systems perform flawlessly — especially during high-stakes quarterly closing cycles. This is a role where your technical decisions genuinely matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code within our Group Tax environment, ensuring robust and scalable solutions
• Actively contribute to project delivery, championing engineering excellence to meet timelines and strategic objectives
• Provide critical technical support during financial closing activities, ensuring all systems and technical requirements operate smoothly under pressure
• Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold code quality, enforce coding standards, and ensure long-term maintainability across the codebase
• Identify and resolve critical issues swiftly using your technical expertise, implementing preventive measures to ensure lasting system stability
• Drive continuous process improvements in engineering support practices, enhancing team efficiency and the overall effectiveness of our solutions

About the Team

You'll be joining our international Digital and Technology – Tax Solutions team, a dynamic group that partners closely with Group Tax colleagues spanning multiple countries across the globe. We play a pivotal role in empowering tax professionals by designing and maintaining the solutions they rely on for Group IFRS reporting, Local Statutory reporting, and a wide range of indirect tax reporting obligations.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• Angular expertise: Proven experience building modern, responsive UIs using Angular frameworks
• Java & Spring Boot proficiency: Strong foundation in backend software development with demonstrated expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Database & cloud skills: Hands-on experience with relational database management systems such as PostgreSQL, including DML, DDL, database modelling, and performance tuning, combined with experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• RESTful API design: Skilled in designing and implementing RESTful APIs in line with best practices and industry standards
• Azure DevOps & CI/CD: Proficient in using Azure DevOps for project management, code versioning, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines
• Modern software architecture: Experienced in applying contemporary architecture principles, leveraging both synchronous and asynchronous integration technologies to build scalable, efficient systems

These are additional nice to haves:

• Structured analytical thinking: Ability to approach complex problems in a methodical way, blending your own creative ideas with collaborative input from the team
• Enterprise Java experience: Extensive background in developing and supporting Java applications within large-scale corporate environments, including collaboration with globally distributed teams
• A genuine interest in the tax and finance domain and a desire to understand the business context behind the technology
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery frameworks
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
