Global HR Partner Group Transformation

Regular Employment

Location: Zurich, Zurich, CH

Are you a strategic HR professional who thrives in complex, evolving environments? Do you enjoy partnering with senior leaders to shape the people agenda of a function that is genuinely building something new? If so, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

As the Global HR & Talent Partner for Group Transformation, you will act as a trusted strategic people partner to the leadership team of a newly forming global function. This is a high-impact role where you will help translate business priorities into a focused, pragmatic people and talent agenda — covering organisation effectiveness, capability, talent, culture and change. As the function matures, your advisory and execution expertise will be central to ensuring that people considerations are addressed with clarity, discipline and real business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior leaders on people, talent, leadership and organisation topics, providing constructive challenge and sound counsel
  • Translate functional priorities into a pragmatic people agenda, aligned with Group People strategy and enterprise frameworks
  • Support organisation effectiveness by contributing HR input on role clarity, accountabilities, interfaces, capability needs and ways of working
  • Contribute to organisation design discussions, ensuring alignment with Group principles and HR governance as the function evolves
  • Coordinate key talent processes including talent reviews, succession planning, performance and development actions with rigour and consistency
  • Identify critical roles, succession risks and capability gaps, partnering with leaders to build strong talent pipelines and leadership bench strength
  • Provide HR execution support for people-related aspects of functional change and transformation, partnering with HR Centres of Excellence, HR Service Delivery and local HR teams
  • Use employee insights and organisational signals to identify engagement, culture and leadership themes, and support leaders in translating these into practical actions
  • Provide coaching and advisory support on leadership effectiveness, team health and culture to help leaders build high-performing, inclusive teams
  • Help leaders identify people risks, engagement considerations and change impacts proactively and effectively

About the Team

Group Transformation is a newly forming global function at Swiss Re, focused on driving enterprise-wide strategic priorities and transformation initiatives. The team works at the intersection of strategy, corporate development and large-scale change, partnering closely with senior leadership across the organisation. As the function scales and matures, it is building the capabilities, structures and ways of working needed to deliver sustained impact across Swiss Re.

About You

You are a seasoned HR professional with a strong track record of partnering with senior leaders in complex, global organisations. You bring both strategic thinking and practical execution capability — you can move from concept to implementation with confidence, even in ambiguous and evolving environments. You are a credible, trusted advisor who knows how to create structure where there is none, and how to influence without authority. You are energised by building something new and are comfortable operating at pace with multiple priorities.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner, Talent Partner, Organisation Effectiveness or HR Transformation role within a complex, global organisation
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders on organisation design, operating model change, workforce planning or function build-out from an HR lens
  • Strong execution capability, with demonstrated experience moving from strategic concept to practical implementation across multiple concurrent priorities
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and consulting skills, with the ability to provide constructive challenge and sound counsel at senior levels
  • Solid understanding of talent management, succession planning, performance management, leadership development and employee engagement frameworks

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience supporting global transformation programmes or enterprise-wide strategic initiatives
  • Experience working with leadership teams that are forming, scaling or undergoing significant change
  • Background in organisation development, psychology, business transformation, consulting or strategy
  • Familiarity with global HR operating models, including collaboration across Centres of Excellence, HR Service Delivery and Country HR teams
  • Experience partnering with strategy, transformation, corporate development or enterprise change functions

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 124,000 and CHF 186,000 for a full-time role.

The specific salary offered considers:

  • The applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
