Team Introduction – Asset Management Governance
Asset Management Governance plays a central role within Group Asset Management (GAM). We help ensure that investment processes and applications operate within a robust and consistent control environment. Our team partners closely with all GAM departments to maintain high-quality governance standards and GAM’s operating model. By connecting business, governance and digital perspectives, we support the integrity, transparency and efficiency of processes and their governance, while contributing to the continuous improvement on how governance is applied in a modern asset management environment.
About the Role
The role is well-suited for a governance professional who is eager to strengthen governance across GAM. The candidate is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, enjoys cross-functional collaboration and can bring structure and clarity to a wide range of topics while acting as a trusted partner to business stakeholders. The role requires strong interest in digitalisation, automation and emerging technologies (including GenAI) and to bring ideas on how governance can evolve in today’s digital world.
The role contributes to keeping GAM’s process, risk and control frameworks compliant, well controlled and audit-ready. The governance professional acts as a partner to process owners and supporting initiatives across GAM to ensure alignment with Swiss Re’s policies, standards and the Three Lines of Defence model. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to grow in governance, operational risk and compliance within a global organisation.
This is a temporary position offered as maternity cover for a defined period, with the possibility of extension.
Your Responsibilities
Governance & Frameworks
- Support the implementation and ongoing application of governance standards across GAM.
- Act as a partner to the business teams across Front Office investment teams, Middle Office and Operations to document, review and to support process improvements from a governance perspective.
- Maintain process documentation, risk & control inventories and governance materials in close collaboration with process and control owners.
- Provide advice and recommendations on the identification of operational risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities, and follow up on remediation actions.
- Coordinate inputs for internal control testing, audits and assurance activities, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Know Your Counterparty (KYC)
- Provide advice and guidance on KYC framework across GAM.
- Perform oversight and monitoring of the KYC process for GAM counterparties, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for KYC-related governance topics and support stakeholders in addressing KYC findings and process issues in collaboration with Compliance.
- Manage the KYC tool, including user access, process adherence and data quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engage with colleagues across GAM, IT, Risk Management, Compliance and Audit to ensure coordinated governance activities.
- Prepare governance materials for committees, working groups and management reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process quality and risk culture.
About You
You are a strong fit for this role if you bring:
- Solid experience in governance, operational risk, internal controls, audit.
- Strong interest in digitalisation, automation and GenAI, with an interest in how these can enhance governance, efficiency and transparency (technical skills are not required).
- Fluent business English.
- Familiarity with investment processes and financial instruments.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage interactions across multiple functions and seniority levels.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 1 900 EUR and 3 300 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
