IAM Integration Engineer - Workforce IAM (Hybrid set up)

Regular Employment

Location: Madrid, M, ES

Are you passionate about identity security and ready to help shape the future of how a global organisation manages

access? At Swiss Re, we're on a mission to make the world more resilient — and identity is at the heart of that mission. If

you thrive at the intersection of technology, collaboration, and governance, this is your opportunity to make a real

impact.

About the Role

As an IAM Integration Engineer within the Workforce IAM team, you'll play a pivotal role in modernising Swiss Re's identity landscape. You'll be the bridge between application teams and strategic IAM platforms — guiding, assessing, and driving the onboarding of applications to Microsoft Entra ID and SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where your technical expertise, structured thinking, and communication skills will directly contribute to a safer, more scalable identity ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate application integration activities from initial assessment through to completion, working closely with application owners and internal IAM teams.
  • Support application onboarding to strategic IAM platforms, including Microsoft Entra ID and SailPoint Identity Security Cloud
  • Conduct IAM onboarding and integration assessments — gathering inputs, evaluating integration needs, documenting outcomes, and defining clear next steps
  • Analyse existing IAM integrations to identify gaps, risks, inconsistencies, or non-strategic patterns that require remediation
  • Guide application teams on onboarding expectations, required actions, and available IAM integration patterns in a clear and accessible way
  • Respond to functional and technical IAM queries from application teams, unblocking them through consultation and support, and escalating complex cases to architects or engineers when needed
  • Produce clear, structured documentation including meeting summaries, status updates, and follow-up action logs
  • Track progress, dependencies, risks, and blockers using tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, or internal dashboards
  • Coordinate application transitions to strategic IAM solutions by aligning required actions with application owners and internal delivery teams
  • Support governance activities by identifying deviations from approved IAM patterns and preparing inputs for exceptions or audit evidence where required

About the Team

The Security Team at Swiss Re leads all cybersecurity activities across the organisation — spanning engineering, governance, risk, and compliance. Within this team, the Workforce IAM function ensures secure, efficient, and seamless access to digital services for our global workforce.

We are a collaborative, forward-thinking team currently focused on some of the most exciting challenges in enterprise identity: simplifying identity services, reducing technical debt, improving application onboarding experiences, and driving the transition from legacy IAM patterns to modern, strategic platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID and SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.

You'll work alongside architects, engineers, compliance specialists, and delivery teams — in an environment that values clear communication, ownership, and continuous improvement. If you're energised by identity integration, cross-team collaboration, and making complex things simple, you'll feel right at home here.

About You

You're a structured, detail-oriented IAM professional who brings both technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to the table. You know how to navigate complex application landscapes, communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders, and keep multiple workstreams moving forward. You take ownership, follow through, and bring a governance mindset to everything you do.

You are comfortable working with application teams, clarifying missing information, and turning complex or ambiguous topics into clear actions.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on IAM experience, including application integration, onboarding, migration, or remediation initiatives
  • Solid understanding of IAM fundamentals — authentication, authorisation, identity lifecycle, access management, groups, roles, attributes, claims, and provisioning
  • Working knowledge of application integration protocols such as SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SCIM
  • Experience collaborating with application teams or owners to clarify requirements, define actions, and support delivery
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and enterprise application integration concepts, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) principles such as provisioning, access reviews, certifications, RBAC, and application access governance
  • Ability to analyse integration scenarios, identify gaps or risks, and translate findings into clear next steps.
  • Experience producing IAM documentation, onboarding guidance, or technical enablement materials
  • Strong ownership, follow-up discipline, and attention to detail
  • Clear and structured communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to explain IAM concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud or similar identity governance platforms
  • Experience supporting application onboarding to Microsoft Entra ID or other enterprise IAM platforms
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, or hybrid identity environments
  • Experience supporting IAM transformation or transition from legacy IAM solutions.
  • Familiarity with scripting, automation, or API-based integration tools such as PowerShell or Microsoft Graph API
  • Background in regulated industries such as insurance, banking, healthcare, or financial services
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and collaboration platforms like Confluence
  • Basic reporting or dashboarding skills using tools such as Excel or Power BI
  • Familiarity with governance, exception handling, audit evidence, or control processes
  • Agile team experience using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar
