About the Role

In this pivotal position, you'll be at the intersection of finance, compliance, and international business, helping us navigate the landscape of insurance premium taxation across Europe. Your expertise will directly contribute to our company's reputation for excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the processing and analysis of Insurance Premium Tax transactions throughout the European region.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with timelines and quality standards required by Fiscal representatives and Tax authorities, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to the generation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively engage in team learning opportunities and structured on-the-job training to build expertise in insurance premium taxation across Europe.

About the Team

Our Insurance Premium Tax team is responsible for verifying, filing, and paying insurance premium taxes into 26 European countries on behalf of different Swiss Re entities/branches. We operate in a fast-paced corporate environment where attention to detail and analytical thinking are highly valued. While based in Bratislava, you'll collaborate with colleagues across Europe, giving you exposure to diverse markets and regulatory frameworks.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • University degree (preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field) or equivalent relevant work experience in finance or business operations.
  • Basic familiarity with tax, accounting, or finance concepts.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel; willingness to develop more advanced skills on the job.
  • Professional fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle numerical data and documentation.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of insurance or reinsurance principles.
  • Any additional European language skills.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,400 and EUR 2,400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: 

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
