About the Role
As a Junior Associate in our LEDH team, you'll be at the intersection of data management and business impact, supporting critical underwriting and actuarial functions. Your work will directly contribute to risk assessment, pricing model enhancements, and strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end processing and quality validation of loss and exposure data
- Conduct deep-dive data analysis and implement necessary corrections and refinements
- Manage backlog clearance and ensure timely processing of portfolio data
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and handle administrative tasks efficiently
- Deliver analytical insights and high-quality outputs to stakeholders
- Continuously enhance your domain knowledge and technical expertise
- Identify and improve operational pain points through process optimization
- Support automation initiatives using basic Python programming or GenAI tools
- Assist with project management including requirements documentation, stakeholder coordination, and quality control
About the Team
LEDH (Loss & Exposure Data Handling) is part of Data Curation and Reporting under Standard Underwriting, Corporate Solutions. The team collaborates globally with underwriting, actuarial, and cross-functional departments to manage and refine data critical for deal costing and pricing model enhancements. As Corporate Solutions grows, LEDH plays a key role in adapting to new market demands and evolving tools and frameworks.
About You
You're a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical abilities and a passion for data management. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn new technologies. Your communication skills allow you to effectively translate complex data concepts to diverse stakeholders, and you're motivated by solving challenging problems.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in data handling or analysis
- Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel for data manipulation
- Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment
These are additional nice to haves:
- Knowledge of MS Access or similar database tools Insurance or Reinsurance domain knowledge
- Experience with Python programming or other scripting languages
- Familiarity with GenAI tools and their applications in data processing
- Background in analytics, data management, or business intelligence
- Experience working in cross-cultural or global teams
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to suggest process improvements
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
