About the Role

As an Operations Surety Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our global corporate clients and brokers. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate handling of surety bond and guarantee requests while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and brokers to support business growth and deliver an outstanding client experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate the issuance of surety bonds and guarantees, ensuring compliance with regional jurisdictional and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide guidance on guarantee and bond wordings, particularly under English Law and URDG758 frameworks.

  • Structure and support complex surety transactions while minimizing operational and regulatory risks.

  • Deliver high-quality client servicing by handling requests, inquiries, amendments, and new transactions in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and brokers, contributing actively to business growth and client satisfaction.

  • Analyze incoming emails and documentation, assess the nature of requests, and allocate tasks efficiently to the appropriate teams.

  • Process and allocate client payments accurately, support reconciliations and premium bookings, and resolve discrepancies when necessary.

  • Support clients with account statements and payment-related inquiries while ensuring high service standards and responsiveness.

About You

You are also a strong team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting the growth of colleagues.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Completed commercial education, preferably as a banking specialist, or bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Law. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

  • Previous experience in a client-facing role, ideally within banking, insurance, or financial services.

  • Solid experience in guarantees and surety bond issuance.

  • Strong understanding of direct issuance guarantee business and guarantee frameworks, particularly under English Law and URDG758.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

Nice to Have

  • 5–7 years of professional experience within banking, insurance, or financial operations.

  • Knowledge of sanctions screening, AML procedures, commercial law and company law.

  • Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) or similar certification is considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of Italian Law is considered a strong advantage.

  • Italian language skills (written and spoken) are considered a strong advantage, while knowledge of German would be an additional asset.

  • Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment.

What We Offer

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 38,000 and EUR 64,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In situations where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus. #LI-Hybrid
