About the Role
As the Operations Team Lead for Central Property, you will be at the heart of a dynamic underwriting operation — building a high-performing team, shaping smarter processes, and ensuring every moving part works together seamlessly. - Ensure control and audit readiness — maintain robust operational controls, proactively identify risk areas, and ensure the team is always prepared for internal and external audit requirements
- Monitor productivity, quality, and performance — track key metrics, identify trends, address gaps with timely interventions, and celebrate wins that drive continuous improvement
- Serve as a key partner to underwriting and operational stakeholders — build trusted, collaborative relationships across the business to align priorities, resolve issues, and deliver seamless end-to-end outcomes
- Manage and develop team members — invest in the growth of each individual through coaching, constructive feedback, and tailored development plans, while maintaining clear accountability and high service standards
About the Team
We are a curious, collaborative, and client-focused team that is always seeking innovative ways to tackle complex challenges. From thought leadership and research to creative problem-solving and idea-sharing, we bring energy and enthusiasm to everything we do.
At our core, we are driven by a commitment to putting clients first — working alongside them to co-create solutions and deliver real, lasting value. As Crisis Management professionals, we combine deep insurance industry knowledge with sharp operational expertise, helping clients navigate complexity with confidence. We are a team that supports one another, celebrates diverse perspectives, and believes that great outcomes are built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
About You
You are an experienced, energetic leader who takes full ownership of outcomes and knows how to bring out the best in people while keeping operations running at their peak. You balance preserving what works with driving meaningful improvements, and you approach every challenge with critical thinking and sound judgment — knowing when to act independently and when to escalate. You are a natural consensus builder who can provide thoughtful pushback to stakeholders when needed, all while maintaining strong, trust-based relationships. You lead with empathy, communicate with clarity, and inspire those around you to do their best work.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial insurance operations, with solid knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance principles and practices
- Insurance industry background is essential, including direct involvement with Commercial Lines products and coverages (university degree or equivalent work experience required)
- Demonstrated leadership experience — proven ability to encourage, empower, develop, and lead a team, providing constructive feedback and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to think analytically and demonstrate financial acuity
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills — able to plan, coordinate, and monitor team workloads effectively, even under tight timeframes and shifting priorities
- Accountability and ownership mindset — you take responsibility for outcomes, follow through on commitments, and hold yourself and others to a high standard
- Consensus building and team leadership — skilled at aligning diverse perspectives, building buy-in, and driving collective progress toward shared goals
- Autonomy and independent decision-making — comfortable operating with a high degree of independence while exercising strong judgment about when to escalate issues to senior stakeholders
- Critical thinking and balanced judgment — able to evaluate situations objectively, weigh competing priorities, and find the right balance between preserving effective practices and implementing improvements
- Stakeholder management with confidence — able to provide appropriate and constructive pushback to stakeholders while maintaining strong, collaborative service relationships
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience working in a matrix or globally distributed environment, collaborating across teams with sensitivity to cultural differences and diverse working styles
- A proactive, self-directed work style with a genuine eagerness to seek out new knowledge, challenge the status quo, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Experience leading process improvement or systems enhancement initiatives, with a track record of delivering tangible operational gains
- Comfort with ambiguity and change, with the ability to adapt quickly and bring others along on the journey
