About the Role

Job Summary

The position requires to play a vital role in identifying and building new product development opportunities in the Korean market, which is sustainable and profitable for both clients and the company.

Detailed Job Functions (including local functions)

  • Product development: Generate new product ideas and bring them to market in close collaboration with cross-function teams (pricing /underwriting & claim as well as client markets), This includes deriving risk rates and supporting communication with clients on new products.
  • Market Research: Analyze current market developments and trends to help identify future opportunities.
  • Actuarial Standards: Ensure adherence to actuarial best-practice guidelines and maintain appropriate control cycles.
  • Coordination: Streamline and expedite the overall product development process through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

About the Team

As part of L&H Korea Team, the successful candidate will both an individual and team contributor. The L&H SMI(Strategy & Marketing Innovation) team of Korea currently consists of 3 professionals. The team works closely with Client managers, Pricing team, Underwriting & Claims team to support the business development. About You

Interpersonal and Business skills  

  • Qualified Actuary (UK FIA/FFA, US FSA, Korea IAK or equivalent) preferred.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in product development.
  • Good interpersonal skills and professional approach consistent with Swiss Re guiding principles.
  • Self-starter and ability to work well as part of small team.
