About the Role:
As a Client Underwriter in P&C Re, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, responsible for end-to-end underwriting decisions that balance risk assessment with business growth opportunities. You'll leverage your technical expertise and market insights to build and maintain a profitable portfolio while developing strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers across all management levels;
- Analyze and assess complex risks across property and casualty lines to make sound underwriting decisions;
- Structure and price reinsurance treaties that meet client needs while adhering to company guidelines and risk appetite;
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and brokers to secure profitable business opportunities;
- Monitor portfolio performance and implement strategies to optimize profitability and growth;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, claims, and risk management to develop comprehensive client solutions;
- Stay informed about market trends, emerging risks, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities;
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices across the global underwriting community;
- Mentor junior team members and participate in training and development initiatives.
About the Team:
You will join a dynamic team of four experienced professionals dedicated to supporting clients across Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The team collaborates closely to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions to clients throughout the South Cone region, combining local market knowledge with global reinsurance expertise.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting, preferably in P&C lines;
- Strong understanding of reinsurance principles, contract structures, and pricing methodologies;
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to assess complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions;
- Proven track record in client relationship management and business development;
- Availability to work in a hybrid work model (3x2).
These are additional nice to haves:
- Advanced degree or professional certifications (CPCU, ARe, ACII, or similar);
- Experience in multiple P&C lines of business;
- Knowledge of catastrophe modeling tools and actuarial pricing concepts;
- Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English;
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
