About the Role

The Senior Governance Analyst plays a key role within the Global Distribution Management (GDM) Governance & Steering function. This position is responsible for supporting governance mandates across GDM, with a strong focus on data governance, financial oversight, and process excellence. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across multiple business units and provides the opportunity to build strong analytical, technical, and business acumen in a global (re)insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management - Support the management and budgeting of new and renewed Broker Service Agreements, including business case preparation and negotiation support

Process Excellence - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across end-to-end processes and provide process guidance to Management Units

Financial Oversight - Monitor and oversee invoicing processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance

Performance Analysis - Contribute to the tracking, analysis, and reporting of financial and service KPIs to support senior management decision-making

Data Visualization - Collaborate on the development of analytical reports and dashboards using data visualization tools

Risk Management - Support risk management and compliance activities, including participation in Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)

Data Governance - Apply and continuously strengthen data governance principles and best practices within a global business context

About the Team

The GDM Governance & Steering team is responsible for budgeting and process governance related to new and renewed Broker Service Agreements. The team supports business case development and negotiation efforts, oversees invoicing processes, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, the team tracks and reports financial and service-related KPIs to support senior management steering and serves as a key interface with Risk Management and Compliance functions.

About You

You're a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills. You thrive in collaborative environments where you can apply your governance expertise and technical knowledge to solve complex business challenges. Your ability to navigate ambiguous situations and facilitate data-driven discussions makes you an ideal candidate for this role.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in governance, risk management, or equivalent experience within the insurance or reinsurance industry

• Strong technical skills, including advanced MS Excel, and experience with SQL, Python, and Power BI

• Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and facilitate fact-based discussions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

These are additional nice to haves:

• Certifications in Project Management, Change Management, Risk, or Compliance

• Experience in data analysis or business process improvement initiatives

• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and principles

• Experience working in cross-functional or international teams

• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management processes

• Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
