About the Role
As an Expert Underwriting Assistant within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, you'll be at the heart of our international insurance operations — a vital link between our underwriting teams, clients, brokers, and global network partners. You'll play a key role in ensuring seamless policy administration and service delivery for International Insurance Programs, with a particular focus on the Swiss market. Key Responsibilities
International Programs Service Delivery
- Drive implementation activities for international programs, ensuring quality, consistency, and meaningful service delivery at every stage
- Facilitate transactional business and coordinate the policy and invoice issuance process using our IT tools, managing both producing and local office duties
- Manage Pre-Quote and Pre-Bind processes, service exceptions, and the issuance of endorsements between Producing Offices, local offices, and Network Partners
- Monitor and report on operational program performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks early and taking decisive action to keep service levels within agreed tolerances
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting teams to understand cash positions across the program portfolio and support timely client updates
- Partner with Claims teams to ensure efficient and timely exchange of information with clients
- Engage regularly with external customers including brokers and insureds, serving as a trusted point of contact
Policy Administration
- Maintain up-to-date records across all relevant systems and tools with a high degree of accuracy
- Prepare policies, certificates, invoices, endorsements, and all other contractual documentation with precision and care
- Conduct initial deal analysis and prepare applicable account data, including tax calculations, and follow up on outstanding premium positions
- Compile, sort, review, and verify data accuracy using source documents; detect errors and initiate corrections while following up with customers or process owners on any inconsistencies
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, and actively support system and tool improvements, testing, and piloting of changes

Our team is the engine behind smooth, reliable service delivery — acting as the key point of contact for clients and our internal global network for policy issuance and implementation of International Insurance Programs. We primarily support the Property Underwriting Team in Switzerland, with a sharp focus on ensuring our clients always receive the right level of support at the right time. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with solid understanding of the Swiss Insurance market and Multinational Program Business
- Swiss Property Insurance knowledge, combined with a strong grasp of Insurance Accounting principles
- Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken), enabling effective communication with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders across our global network
These are additional nice to haves:
- Knowledge of or experience with additional European languages (e.g., French, Italian, Spanish) — a definite plus in our international environment
- Further education or professional qualifications in insurance, finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in multi-cultural and cross-functional settings
- Strong goal-orientation and a passion for continuous learning, with a track record of taking initiative in process improvement
- Experience with IT tools and systems used in policy administration or underwriting support
- Proven attention to detail and quality focus, with the ability to identify, report, and resolve issues efficiently
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 94,000 and 142,000 CHF (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
