Damian Doderer Head ART Germany

Damian von Doderer was appointed Head Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) Germany at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in July 2026. In this role, he leads the development and delivery of client-specific ART solutions for German corporates, helping clients address complex risk-transfer challenges through structured, practical, and economically sustainable arrangements.

Damian has extensive experience in ART, and brings expertise in Structured Fronting, and corporate captive programs. Before assuming his current role, Damian held senior ART and Structured Fronting positions at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and has managed strategic client relationships across Europe and contributed to the development of scalable ART capabilities, governance standards, and operating processes.

Prior to joining Swiss Re in 2020, Damian worked at Allianz Risk Transfer in Zurich in Structured Fronting and Business Intelligence roles. Earlier in his career, he held executive-office, market, and risk-management positions at AGCS North America in New York.

Damian holds a doctoral degree in economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. His research focused on public-private partnerships for managing NatCat risks, reflecting his long-standing interest in finding the right risk-management tool for each client’s underlying challenge.
