Daniel Andris is Head of Corporate Solutions Risk Engineering Services Casualty. His unit is responsible for risk assessments and risk engineering services in all major industry segments in the context of general liability risks, construction liability and cyber.
In his role he is also an expert for the identification, assessment, and business impact analysis of new technologies, trends and changing risks in the industry. In this context he is driving the expertise on Industrial IoT, Next Generation Manufacturing and Circular Economy.
Daniel joined Swiss Re in 2001 as a Risk Engineer for the life science industry segment and became the industry team leader in 2003. From 2009 on he led the local Risk Engineering team in Zurich, since 2015 he is in his current role as Head Risk Engineering Services Casualty.
Prior to Swiss Re, Daniel worked as project manager, staff researcher and assistant lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich with a focus on quality assessment methods and - strategies for drugs. Daniel has a BSc with diploma in chemistry (physical chemistry) from the University of Applied Sciences Zurich in Winterthur and completed several post-diploma training programs in business administration, management and leadership.
