Lauren Campos is the Director of Risk Management at Northrop Grumman Corporation.
In this role, Campos leads a team of 15 risk management professionals whose mission is to protect the Company's balance sheet, assets, employees, shareholders, and stakeholders by proactively mitigating risk through several means including insurance and/or contractual risk transfer. This includes insurance program design and placement, evaluation of insurance and indemnification provisions, property and liability loss control efforts across the enterprise and insurance claims management.
Prior to becoming the Director Risk Management, Campos served as the Senior Manager of Property & Casualty Insurance. In this role, she was responsible for the Property insurance program – a complex global insurance program insuring $36B in insurable assets with 60+ insurers from the United States, Europe, London, Bermuda and Asian markets – and the Enterprise Property Loss Prevention program. She was also responsible for the Cyber / Errors & Omissions and Financial Lines insurance programs including Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary and Crime.
In 2020, she led the Risk Management function for the Enterprise Crisis Management Team whose efforts received the Disaster Recovery Institute International’s Award for Excellence in the category of Response and Recovery of the Year for their preparation and response to back-to-back hurricanes, optimizing employee safety and minimizing business disruption. Prior to the Senior Manager of Property & Casualty Insurance position, Campos held the position of Finance Manager for the Risk Management department. In this role, she oversaw Northrop Grumman’s captive insurance company and managed the collection of exposure data used to underwrite all lines of insurance.
Before joining the Corporate Risk Management department in 2011, Campos held various roles within Business Management in Missions Systems sector and completed the Associates Training Program, a Corporate sponsored leadership development program for early career business management professionals.
Campos currently serves as a member of the RIMS External Affairs Committee. The Committee promotes risk management by analyzing legislative, regulatory and legal issues, recommends policy and viewpoints for RIMS constituents and educates members on how issues will affect their industries. From 2015 to 2017, she served on NG Women’s International Network’s Corporate Office Leadership Board.
Campos earned a bachelor’s degree in International Business from The Catholic University of America.
