Liz is currently the Vice President of Risk Management for MGM Resorts International. MGM is a global entertainment company with national and international locations featuring best-in-class hotels and casinos, state-of-the-art meetings and conference spaces, incredible live and theatrical entertainment experiences, and an extensive array of restaurant, nightlife and retail offerings. In this role, she is responsible for the procurement of insurance across all lines of coverage for MGM and its entities. She also oversees the general liability and worker’s compensation claim teams.
Liz previously served as the North American Claims Engagement Leader for AIG and a member of the AIG North American Senior Claim team. In this role she was responsible for leading the Zone Claims Executive and Claims Client Service Manager teams which collectively provide a single point of contact at AIG for claims solutions, servicing and sales. She was also responsible for developing and ensuring consistent delivery of the AIG Claims value proposition as a key differentiator in the marketplace and for implementing national best practices and standards for both teams. Prior to that she was a complex director in AIG’s construction primary casualty claims unit and served as the Strategic Claims Leader for AIG’s US & Canada Energy & Construction Industry Practice Group. In this role she handled high exposure complex construction claims in all jurisdictions of the United States.
Liz has over 25 years of legal and insurance experience and joined MGM in July of 2019. Her previous experience includes serving as the Vice President of Risk Management for El Ad Group, Ltd a real estate developer based in New York City with properties throughout North America and as Associate General Counsel and Risk Manager for Las Vegas Sands Corp, the owner of the Venetian and Palazzo Casinos in Las Vegas, as well as other casinos in Asia. She also held various positions with both Travelers Insurance and The Hartford and before that was in the private practice of law in Connecticut handling insurance defense matters.
Liz has a B.A in art history from Connecticut College, a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and an L.L.M in Insurance Law from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Connecticut and Rhode Island and is a licensed insurance adjuster in all jurisdictions in the United States.
