Maria Di Pilla Chief Financial Officer Corporate Solutions

Maria Di Pilla was appointed Chief Financial Officer and member of the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Executive Committee with effect from 1 September 2025.

In this role, Maria is responsible for overseeing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' Finance function, ensuring the business unit achieves its financial targets, and implementing the business unit's strategy. She oversees a team of around 150 finance professionals in offices around the world.

Since joining Swiss Re in 1996, Maria has held several senior leadership positions including CFO iptiQ and Risk Data Solutions, CFO Corporate Solutions EMEA, and Head of Financial Accounting A&R Reinsurance. Throughout her longstanding tenure, she has established a strong track record of leading teams and successfully delivering transformation initiatives and major projects such as the turnaround of Corporate Solutions EMEA, the merger of SRCS Ltd and the strategic reviews of iptiQ and Risk Data Solutions.

Earlier in her career, she worked at PwC Zurich and in the public sector. A Swiss national, Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences St. Gallen and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with the IMA New Jersey (USA).  A native German speaker, she is fluent in Italian and English, with additional proficiency in French and Spanish.
