Mariana Varela VP Global Risk Insurance Grupo Bimbo

Mariana Varela is the VP Global Risk Insurance of Grupo Bimbo. In this role, and as a direct report to the VP Treasurer, she is responsible for the design and implementation of the insurance strategies at the global level (34 countries), managing more than USD$100 million in local and corporate insurance premiums. She has worked for the reinsurance industry for the last 30 years holding different positions on insurance companies and brokers in Mexico, such as Aon Benfield, Chubb and Zürich Insurance.
