Martin Zingg Head Private Investments & Corporate Dev Group Asset Management

Martin Zingg is Head Private Investments & Corporate Development and a member of the Asset Management Investment Committee and Leadership Team. Martin has direct management responsibility for global private markets activities including private debt, private equity and real estate and the group corporate development agenda, including control transactions and participation investments.

Martin re-joined Swiss Re in August 2015 as Head of Alternative Investments and later served as Co-Head Strategic Asset Allocation & Markets, and Chief Investment Officer for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. Martin previously worked for Swiss Re from 1995 to 2010 and held senior investment management and corporate development positions in the United States, Europe and Asia. Prior to his return to Swiss Re, Martin spent five years from 2010 to 2015 as Chief Investment Officer with the Catlin Group.

Martin holds a BA in Business Administration from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and completed the 2006 Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
