Nina Arquint is a seasoned executive with deep expertise across risk, governance and commercial insurance. She was appointed CEO UK & Ireland in the new structure established for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (CorSo) in June 2025 and is based in London. She is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction and bringing innovative solutions to the market to meet client requirements, drive and define client and broker strategy and to develop and lead the operation and talents in the Market Unit. Nina participates in the global CorSo Executive Team.
From 1 February 2023 until end of May 2025, Nina was assuming overall leadership as CEO Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). In this role, she was responsible for developing and executing the strategy and operation for the region, profitably growing the overall book of business in a way that best serves clients and attracting and developing across the business.
Before that, Nina was Chief Risk Officer Corporate Solutions, effective 1 July 2019, and Member of the Corporate Solutions Executive Committee with effect from 1 January 2020.
Prior to joining Swiss Re, Nina Arquint was Head of the Strategic Services Division and member of the Executive Board of the Swiss Financial Markets Supervisory Authority FINMA as of February 2013. In that capacity, she was in charge of FINMA's international cooperation, financial market regulation, legal & compliance as well as the strategic management. She acted as chair of FINMA's Enforcement Committee and represented the authority in the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. Before this, Nina Arquint led the General Secretariat of FINMA since October 2009, a role in which she was charged with the organisational duties relating to FINMA’s Board of Directors and Executive Board, the management of relations with the Swiss Federal Council, the Federal Department of Finance and the General Assembly as well as FINMA's internal and external communication activities. She started her professional career in the Legal Department of the Federal Office of Private Insurance.
Nina Arquint graduated from the Law Faculty at the University of Bern, where she holds a Ph.D in law.
Nina Arquint was born in 1977 and is a Swiss citizen.
