Raymundo Eduardo Machuca Ad Interim Head Claims Brazil, Mexico, Colombia

Eduardo joined Swiss Re in Mexico in March 2011 as Claims Manager for Property, Engineering and Special Lines. He was promoted to Head of Claims Mexico for CorSo in 2015 and currently is the ad interim Head of Claims Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.

Eduardo brings more than 30 years of insurance market experience to this role, 15 years in Swiss Re. He is currently the ad interim Head of Claims Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. He is responsible for leading the claims function across Brazil, Mexico/Miami and Colombia, with a strong focus on delivering customer-focused claims services and upholding our Claims Commitment.

Prior to joining Swiss Re, Eduardo worked for an international US-based insurer operating in the Mexican market, and an international loss adjusting company, where he gained broad experience across multiple lines of business.

Having graduated with a degree in Engineering, together with a technical degree in Renewable Energies, a law and Insurance diploma.

Before the insurance industry, Eduardo had participated in and led different projects related to renewable energies in Mexico.

Eduardo has successfully handled several significant, complex and large claims across surety, marine, liability, property, and business interruption.

Eduardo is a strong claims leader who is well respected by both the market and his team. He is focused on driving claims excellence, improving performance in the region and further developing our core capabilities.
