We’re looking for an Analytics Product Owner to join our team and own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics products—from ideation to delivery and ongoing improvement. In this role, you will bridge business and engineering, translating strategic needs into actionable solutions, and driving tangible value creation through data.

About the Role 

As an Analytics Product Owner, you will: 

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data and analytics products, from idea to implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs. 

  • Translate business problems into analytics solutions by collaborating closely with stakeholders, data scientists, engineers, and domain experts. 

  • Define and maintain the product roadmap, prioritising features and use cases based on value, feasibility, and strategic fit. 

  • Drive the end-to-end QBR process by preparing content, aligning with key stakeholders, and presenting progress, outcomes, and strategic priorities for owned products, enabling informed decision-making at senior levels. 

  • Ensure delivery excellence by managing sprint goals, MVP definitions, acceptance criteria, and ongoing feature refinement. 

  • Drive adoption and measurable impact, ensuring analytics products are embedded into business processes and generate tangible value. 

  • Act as the voice of the user, collecting feedback, defining user stories, and ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience. 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery. 

  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices to drive sustainable and efficient data products. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Define and drive the product vision for data and analytics capabilities, aligning with business priorities, AI transformation goals, and cross-functional strategies. 

  • Manage the product backlog and roadmap, prioritising features and use cases based on business impact, user needs, and technical feasibility. 

  • Translate business requirements into actionable user stories by collaborating closely with underwriters, claims experts, actuaries, and data scientists. 

  • Leads preparation and execution of QBRs, aligning stakeholders and driving data-informed decisions. 

  • Ensure high-quality delivery and adoption, by coordinating with engineering teams, validating outputs, and tracking usage and business value across releases. 

  • Act as a key interface between business and tech, aligning with data governance, platform architecture, and enterprise-wide AI initiatives to ensure scalable, compliant solutions. 

About you 

Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are genuinely curious about the world of data analytics, we will be happy to meet you. 

To be successful in the role, you have: 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field. 

  • 3+ years of work experience delivering data-related solutions in the financial industry, consulting, or tech. 

  • Experience in building data-driven applications and storytelling with data 

  • Experience in business analysis and requirements engineering 

  • Experience in information modelling and building data pipelines 

  • Proficiency in modern coding languages, such as Python or TypeScript. 

  • Excellent communication in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 

If you also have the following experience and interests, it is a huge plus (not mandatory):  

  • Experience in reinsurance/insurance industry 

  • Knowledge of Azure, Palantir Foundry and Typescript 

  • Project management abilities within agile frameworks 

  • Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment. 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,300 and EUR 5,500 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
