About the Role

 This is a 2 -month internship opportunity within our Risk Engineering Services team.

Support data collection, analysis, and documentation related to ongoing desktop assignments. Demonstrate understanding of practical engineering applications, with both office and on-site survey programs.

The Engineering Intern will support the technical and analytical functions of the team by reviewing external engineering or risk-related reports, assessing information against internal standards, and entering validated data into company systems. The role provides exposure to risk assessment methodologies, data management processes, and internal quality frameworks within a professional engineering or insurance environment.

By the conclusion of the internship, the Engineering Intern is expected to:

  • Understand and apply internal rating systems with accuracy.
  • Demonstrate competence in reviewing and interpreting technical reports.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and documentation.
  • Work effectively within a professional engineering team environment.
  • Exhibit improved analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Display readiness for future roles in technical, analytical, or risk-related functions.

About the Team

 

The Engineering Intern will join a team of three senior engineers and one engineer who specialises in the same technical field. The role will be primarily office based with occasional travel to client locations.

 

About You

 

The Engineering Intern will work under the supervision of Senior Engineers or project leads to gain hands-on experience in engineering principles, technical processes, and workplace practices. The role is designed to develop practical skills, professional competence, and an understanding of how engineering solutions are implemented in a real-world insurance context.
