International Program Governance Manager (Hybrid)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IP Governance Manager to join our strategic IP Proposition Development Team.
This role provides end-to-end oversight of IP Governance across the entire IP value chain, ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective risk management. You will act as the connector for all involved functions (e.g. Underwriting, Operations, Finance etc.) in International Programs on governance, risks and controls, and serve as a strategic partner to the IP Leadership Team to support strong management risk decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and continuously improve the IP Governance Framework, including roles, responsibilities, and methodology.
- Own and maintain the IP risk and control framework, ensuring alignment with the functional RACI model.
- Collaborate closely with all relevant functions (e.g. Underwriting, Operations, Finance) to ensure seamless alignment and eliminate gaps across the end-to-end IP Governance Process.
- Manage the IP risk matrix for existing and emerging risks and ensure effective mitigation.
- Provide transparency and actionable insights on IP risks to support decision-making.
- Ensure adequate IP controls, enforce ownership, and complete the IP RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment).
- Collaborate closely and ensure alignment with group governance functions (e.g., Group Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance) and functional governance teams.
- Own and continuously improve cross-functional IP governance topics and meetings, such as the Exception Committee.
- Drive governance cadence through quarterly IP Governance and Control meetings.
About the Team
The IP Proposition Development team is a strategic enabler of the IP portfolio. Working closely with the IP Sponsor and IP Leadership Team, the team drives key initiatives and projects that shape the future of the business. With strong international exposure, it partners across regions and functions—including underwriting, operations, finance, and technology.
About You
- 10+ years of experience in operations, governance, risk management, or compliance; exposure to complex operational environments is an advantage.
- Experience in International Programs and / or global insurance business.
- Strong risk management mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
- Proven ability to design and implement governance frameworks and risk control mechanisms.
- Solid understanding of RACI models, risk matrices, and control frameworks, and familiarity with group governance functions (e.g., Internal Audit, Risk Management).
- Analytical and detail-oriented, capable of turning governance principles into actionable processes.
- Experience in leading cross-functional governance topics and facilitating governance meetings.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to understand different functions needs, constructively challenge the status quo,
- Clear and effective communication, even when addressing complex topicsand foster collaborative solutions including engagement with senior leadership.
- Fluent English both spoken and written
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,000 and EUR 5,000 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
