As the Subledger Liabilities P&C Cash Flow Production Lead, you will play a pivotal role in Swiss Re’s financial closing processes. You will ensure the completeness and quality of non-Life cash flows—critical inputs for Group and Local IFRS, the Swiss Solvency Test (SST), Solvency II, and Asset Liability Management (ALM).
You will lead three teams across Zurich and Bratislava—FINCO, PER Controlling, and Subledger Cash Flow Production—driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Through close collaboration with Business Unit Finance, Actuarial Reserving, and IT, you will shape process enhancements and automation initiatives.
The FINCO Team is responsible for preparing the accounts of non-traditional P&C contracts while the PER Controlling team is responsible for ensuring the correct budgeting and related translation for the Statutory and IFRS landscape. The Subledger Cash Flow Production Team is a small-sized team in charge of executing, improving and automating all data quality checks, and substantiations, and for preparing and booking all cash flows manual adjustments.
You will also contribute to key transformation projects such as Legacy Decommissioning and PERseus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performing teams in Zurich and Bratislava, fostering collaboration, engagement, and professional growth
- Define and execute a unified strategic vision for the P&C Cash Flow Production area
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of P&C and CS cash flows across reporting frameworks
- Oversee manual adjustments and data quality assurance processes for assumed business
- Perform financial and quantitative analyses under IFRS 17/9 frameworks.
- Identify, design, and implement automation and process improvement initiatives
- Translate complex financial requirements into robust IT and process design specifications
- Support internal and external audits by providing clear, reliable documentation and analysis
- Contribute to key finance transformation initiatives across Group Finance
About the Team
Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) ensures the delivery of accurate, consistent financial information across Swiss Re—supporting both external disclosures and internal decision-making.
The Subledger Liabilities team is responsible for the complete and accurate reporting of external liabilities information under multiple valuation frameworks. Working in an inclusive, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment, you’ll gain broad exposure to reinsurance accounting, financial reporting, and transformation initiatives that shape Swiss Re’s finance landscape.
About You
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; or an actuarial qualification.
- 5–7 years of experience in P&C cash flow modelling, reserving, or reinsurance finance with exposure to cash flows
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 17/9 and financial accounting principles.
- Proven leadership experience managing multicultural teams.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with multiple regulatory frameworks (e.g., US Statutory, Solvency II, local statutory reporting).
- Data management or programming proficiency (e.g., Python, VBA, R).
- Familiarity with SAP FPSL and IFRS 17 implementation.
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 124,000 and 186,000 CHF (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
