The pace of geopolitical change, which has been accelerating over the last decade, took a big leap forward in 2026. The first year of Donald Trump’s second term has been transformative for Atlantic relationships, both economic and security based. Meanwhile, Russian aggression on Europe’s eastern flank continues while China ramps up alliances and partnerships, not just in the developing world but amongst the EU and Canada.

This session will explore how the momentous times we have been living through threaten uncertainty and disarray but also point us toward the need for greater flexibility and resiliency.
